Chœur de l’Orchestre de Paris. "Forgotten Peoples"

Veljo Tormis' choral cycle "Forgotten Peoples" will be performed by Chœur de l’Orchestre de Paris in Tartu. Tormis’ cycle includes three parts in the repertoire: “Izhorian Epic”, “Votic Wedding Songs” and “Ingrian Evenings”. Ingrid Mänd will conduct the choir who will sing in Vadja and Isuri languages and in the Ingrian Finnish dialect.

Chruch Day and Sacred Song Festival: The concert of three choirs

At the concert there will perform three choirs: from Estonia the mixed choir of church musicians of the EELC named KOSK, from German the mixed choir of the Kreiskantorei Hofgeismar-Wolfhagen and from Norwegia the Stavanger Symphony Choir. This will bring together around 140 singers. Each choir will perform sacred choral music from their own country.

Sacred Song Festival “Joy to the World”

The Sacred Song Festival will bring together around 1,600 singers and instrumentalists from Estonia and elsewhere in Europe to praise and glorify God with sacred choral and brass music. There will be children's choirs, women's choirs, mixed choirs and brass bands. Both older and newer Estonian choral music will be performed.
