Henri Zibo

Henri Zibo is a classical accordionist from Estonia.

He started his studies at Haapsalu Music School in 2003 with Sirje Roogla. During 2012–2015 he studied at Tallinn Music High School with Aivi Tilk. He furthered his studies at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre from which he received a bachelor´s degree in 2015 with Tiina Välja as his main subject teacher. Since 2018 Zibo is obtaining a Master´s degree in Classical Music Performance studying first with Tiina Välja and later with Momir Novakovic.

Zibo won 1st place at the VII (2013) and VIII (2014) Estonian national competition of young accordionists; 2nd place in the TV contest „Classical Stars 2014"; 2nd place at the international accordion competition „Naujene 2016” held in Daugavpils. At Vilnius International Accordion Competition Zibo got 10th place in the older age category. At the international accordion competition, „Coupe Mondiale 2018" in Kaunas Zibo won 5th place in the chamber music category together with accordionist Mikk Langeproon.

Zibo has repeatedly performed as a soloist in front of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Estonian Military Orchestra, and the Tallinn University Symphony Orchestra. He has given concerts all over Estonia in all major concert venues. He has also given solo recitals in Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, and Belgium. Zibo has collaborated with many different Estonian and foreign musicians, the best-known are Mart Sander, Marko Matvere, Maria Listra, Mihkel Poll, Johan Randvere, and maestro Arvo Pärt.

Zibo is one of the creators and executive producer of the international classical accordion festival Accordionfest Estonia.
