Workshop of Anne-Liis Poll and Anto Pett in Vienna

From February 23 to 27, Anne-Liis Poll’s and Anto Pett’s improvisation workshop will be held at Vienna Conservatory (Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität) which will end with the concert of participating students.

Choir conductor, singer and vocal improviser Anne-Liis Poll works as an Associate Professor at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. She has co-worked with different improvisers like Jaak Sooäär, Tanel Ruben, Anto Õnnis, Kent Carter, Sylvain Kassap, Francois Rosse, Etienne Rolin, Albrecht Maurer, Sten Sandell, Petras Vysniauska. At the present time, Anne-Liis Poll sings in Baroque ensembles Accentus Tallinn and MederConsort and in impro-ensemble Free Tallinn Trio.

Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre’s Professor Anto Pett is well-known improviser who has developed an original technique to teach improvisation. This can be used on all instruments, including the human voice. Pett has introduced his method in different music universities of Europe (Helsinki, Stockholm, Leipzig, Paris, Riga, Vilnius etc). Anto Pett has collaborated with Kent Carter, Sylvain Kassap, Francois Rosse, Etienne Rolin, Emile Biayenda, Albrecht Maurer, Sten Sandell, Petras Vysniauskas, Stanislaw Skoczynski etc.
