On December 14 and 15, choral work „Origo originum” („Beginning of the Beginnings”) by René Eespere will be premiered by the Academic Male Choir of Tallinn Technical University (TAM) at the Christmas concert in Tallinn Kaarli Church. The new work for male choir and piano on the lyrics of Anne Lill was commissioned by the choir. The Christmas programme, titled after Eespere’s song as „Beginning of the Beginnings”, includes choral works by Estonian composers Aare Kruusimäe, Juhan Aavik, Gustav Ernesaks and Piret Rips in addition to old Christmas songs.
Together with the TAM, conducted by Peeter Perens and Siim Selis, mezzo soprano Helen Lokuta, organist Piret Aidulo and Siim Selis on piano will participate in concerts. On December 16, TAM will perform Christmas programme also in Haapsalu Dome Church.
