Helsinki University Symphony Orchestra (Ylioppilaskunnan Soittajat) will perform Lepo Sumera’s music on May 11 at 7 pm at Temppeliaukio Church in Helsinki and May 13 at Laurentius Hall in Lohja. The program consists of Sumera’s Cello Concerto (Finnish premiere), performed by 19 year old talented cellist Klaus Mäkelä and Waltz (orhestrated by Mihkel Kerem) from puppet film „Spring Fly“. Additionally, concert features Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saëns and Firebird by Igor Stravinsky. Helsinki University Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by its chief conductor Mikk Murdvee.
