Estonian musicians Kristi Mühling (kannel), Arete Teemets (soprano) and Aare Tammesalu (cello) will give three concerts in Cork and Dublin in Ireland this week.
On April 3, Kristi Mühling, Arete Teemets and Aare Tammesalu will perform in Cork Vision Centre at the opening of the exhibition „The Waterfowl People“ dedicated to works by writer and film-maker Lennart Meri, who served also as the President of Estonia and Loit Jõekalda’s photo exhibition „Stone Age Graphics“. Musicians perform Estonian folk music and works by Mart Saar.
On April 4, Mühling and Teemets together with Irish musicians will give a concert in Cobblestone Pub, Dublin, performing Estonian and Irish folk music.
On April 5, trio will appear on the stage of Dublin St. Audoen’s Church, where the program includes Estonian folk music and newer and older works by Estonian composers like Miina Härma, Ester Mägi, Helena Tulve, Tõnu Kõrvits, Malle Maltis, Kristjan Kõrver, Kaljo Raid, Arvo Pärt and Cyrillus Kreek.
Concerts are organised by NPO Loovüksus and Estonian Embassy in Ireland.
