At the end of November and the beginning of December, HELIjaKEEL (SOUNDandLANGUAGE) concert series will open its second season with concerts „I Heard You Singing“. This time the concerts are dedicated to the oeuvre of composer Helena Tulve and writer Tõnu Õnnepalu. Works Ma kuulsin sind laulmas [I Heard You Singing] for percussions (2010), Ithaka for soprano, violin and piano (2000), To Night-Travellers, the Light for cello and piano (2009), "Three Songs" for piano (2008) and Rimlands for clarinet, cello and piano (2012, Estonian premiere) by Helena Tulve will be performed by Olga Voronova (violin), Leho Karin (cello), Toomas Vavilov (clarinet), Diana Liiv (piano), Miina Pärn (voice), Madis Metsamart, Vambola Krigul and Helena Tulve (percussion). Tõnu Õnnepalu will read his poetry. Concerts will be held on November 26 at 7 pm at Tallinn Teachers’ House and December 2 at 7 pm at Tartu Vanemuine Concert House.
HELIjaKEEL concert series started in 2012. The aim of the series is to experience the connections and synergy of the art of sound and word and perceive the special relationships between creative persons.
