Eesti Sinfonietta welcomes its new concertmaster!
Peeter Margus (1995) obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Sibelius Academy in Finland in 2019 and master’s degree cum laude from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2022 in the class of prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. From 2016 to 2022 Margus was a member of the Grammy-winning Tallinn Chamber Orchestra. Since 2022 he is simultaneously working as well as studying towards a Ph.D. degree in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
Estonian Sinfonietta is an orchestra connecting creatively active musicians who have played together for more than ten years. Presenting Estonian music and artists to the world holds great value to the orchestra. Kaia Lattikas is the founder and CEO of the orchestra. Johannes Põlda was the concertmaster of Estonian Sinfonietta from 2019 who from 2023 continues in the same role for Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra.
