Concert agency Corelli Music’s new festival „Towers of Tallinn“ brings together the history of Tallinn and contemporary oeuvre, introducing the city's famous silhouette inside out through different eras of music. This year the concerts take place in Swedish St. Michael’s Church, Köismäe Tower, Tallinn Town Hall, Governor’s Garden, The Rooftop Cinema, Snelli Pond and Kultuurikatla Aed.
The opening concert on August 29 in Swedish St. Michael’s Church, Hanna-Liina Võsa (vocal), Lembit Saarsalu (saxophones), Jaak Lutsoja (accordion) and Merle Kollom (organ) will perform the reworked classics and new fabulous arrangements of Estonian beloved songs by Cyrillus Kreek, Edgar Arro, Miina Härma, Uno Naissoo, Rein Rannap.
On August 30 in Tallinn Town Hall, Kadri-Ann Sumera (piano) and Eva-Maria Sumera (violin) will play beautiful chamber music classics including Lepo Sumera’s work. The same day, National Opera Boys’ Choir will give a concert of beloved patriotic songs. Concert is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia.
Festival will end on August 31 with the concert of NUKU choir in the Kultuurikatla Aed. Concert takes place in the framework of Night of Ancient Fires and offers the program mainly of music by Veljo Tormis and Siim Aimla.
