From October 13 to 16, the first festival of the Association of Estonian Professional Musicians will take place in different concert venues in Tallinn.
Today, on October 13 at 7 pm violinist Sigrid Kuulmann-Martin and pianist Marko Martin will give the opening concert of the festival as well as the opening of the 10th concert season. The program includes music by Eugène Ysaÿe, César Franck, Ernest Chausson and Schumann/Kreisler.
On October 14, chamber music concert with performers like violinist Arvo Leibur, cellist Marius Järvi, singers Iris Oja and Pille Lill, clarinet player Toomas Vavilov, pianists Kadri-Ann Sumera and Vardo Rumessen, ensembles Una Corda and Cantores Vagantes will take place at the House of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads.
The gala concert of the organists is scheduled on October 15. The list of performers, who will perform at the St. Nicholas Church, includes organists Ulla Krigul, Pille Metsson, Tiit Kiik, Toomas Trass, Kadri Ploompuu, singers Aare Saal, Iris Oja, saxophonist Eve Neumann et al.
On October 16 at 6 pm the pianists’ gala concert will take place at Estonia Concert Hall. At the final concert of the festival pianists Peep Lassmann, Rein Rannap, Mihkel Poll, Sten Lassmann, Kai Ratassepp, Ralf Taal will perform. The concert is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Tallinn Music High School and to the fact that Estonia needs a new concert piano.
