Yesterday, Estonian Phiharmonic Chamber Choir’s CD „Vivit!“ (Ondine, 2013) was given the title of Classical Album of the Year at the Estonian Music Awards gala in Tallinn Nokia Concert Hall. CD consists of choral music by Max Reger (1873–1916) and Rudolf Tobias (1873–1918). Cantores Vagantes’s CD „Music from Norse“, René Eespere author’s CD „Respectus“ and Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra’s CD with orchestral works by Artur and Villem Kapp were the other nominees in the category of classical album.
The awards are given out every year by the Estonian Association of Phonogram Producers. Winners are selected by the professional jury.
