On April 18 at 7 pm, vocal symphonic concert of Good Friday will take place in Estonia Concert Hall. Performers are Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and soloists Ksenia Kuchukova (soprano), Helen Lepalaan (mezzo soprano), Mati Turi (tenor) and Uku Joller (bass) under the baton of Tõnu Kaljuste. Program presents the oratorio version of Joseph Haydn’s The Seven Last Words of Our Saviour On the Cross and Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Requiem. The Requiem was written in 1994 for the memory of conductor Peeter Lilje and was awarded the second prize at the UNESCO’s Rostrum of Composers in Paris in 1995.
