The leading Estonian contemporary music ensemble Ensemble U: has been invited to perform at reputable Electroacoustic Music Festival „Third Practice“ in Richmond, U.S. The concert will be held on November 6 at Richmond University, featuring 4 premiers: Christopher Chandler’s „Recast Fragments”, Scott L. Miller’s „Accretion”, Heather Stebbins’s „And Drift” and Jüri Reinvere’s „The Minutes“.
Additionally, on November 1–4, Ensemble U: will be in residence at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, presenting masterclasses on music entrepreneurship in a post-Soviet republic and improvisation and giving a concert on November 3 at Performing Arts Center. The program consists of music by Pierre Boulez, Ivan Fedele, Helmut Lachenmann and Estonians Helena Tulve, Tatjana Kozlvoa-Johannes and Malle Maltis. The same program can be also heard on November 7 at High Strung Violins and Guitars Performance Space Hall in Durham (North Carolina).
