Enn Vetemaa jubilee concert

On November 2, concert dedicated to the 75th birthday of Enn Vetemaa will take place in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.

Writer and composer Enn Vetemaa excels in his multifaceted creative activity. He has graduated from Tallinn State Conservatory in composition under Anatoli Garšnek and Heino Eller in 1965. Some years earlier, 1959, he graduated from Tallinn Polytechnical Institute as a chemistry engineer. One of his favorite genre seems to be an instrumental concerto, his preferred instrumentation has been also a saxophone quartet.

In the program of the jubilee concert there are Concertino for Two Pianos, Oboe Concertino, Trumpet Concert and Sami Joik from the Saxophone Quartet Finno-Ugrian. Performers are Tallinn Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Toomas Vavilov and soloists Aleksander Hännikäinen (oboe), Indrek Vau (trumpet), piano duo Kaarel Peäske-Darja Roditšenka and Tallinn Saxophone Quartet: Olavi Kasemaa, Villu Veski, Valdur Neumann and Hendrik Nagla.
