Concerts of Estonian choral music in Holland

In this weekend, works of three young Estonian composers – Maria Kõrvits, Evelin Seppar and Sander Pehk, will be premiered by Dutch chamber choir Collegium Utrecht in Holland. Concert entitled Laulusild (Bridge of Song) includes also music by Cyrillus Kreek, Arvo Pärt, Veljo Tormis and Erkki-Sven Tüür. Choir is conducted by Lodewijk van der Ree, the choir is accompanied with Ebonit Saxophone Quartet. The works commissioned by Collegium Utrecht are Evelin Seppar’s Still, Near (text Elizabeth Barrett Browning), Maria Kõrvits’s Gran piant' agli ochi (text anonymous) and Sander Pehk’s How Soon Hath Time (text John Milton).

Concerts will take place on June 8 at 8.15 pm in Wijk bij Duurstedes (Grote Kerk) and June 9 at 4 pm in Utrecht (Lutherse Kerk).
