Concert series “The Treasury of Estonian Music” will begin

String quartet TetrArchi will open the concert series The Treasury of Estonian Music organised by State Concert Institute Eesti Kontsert. Quartet staffed by Kristjan Hallik (violin), Kristiina Kostrõkina (violin), Laur Eensalu (viola) and Indrek Leivategija (cello) will perform Erkki-Sven Tüür’s String Quartet (1985), Rudolf Tobias’s String Quartet No. 2 (1902), Ester Mägi’s String Quartet No. 2 (1965) and Eduard Oja’s Piano Quintet (1935). Also pianist Peep Lassmann will participate. Concerts will take place on September 5 at 7 pm in Tohisoo manor and September 6 at 6 pm in Tallinn Meder Hall.

String Quartet TetrArchi was founded in 2006. Ensemble won several prizes at the Estonian competition for young interpreters Con Brio 2006.

New concert series The Treasury of Estonian Music offers highlights of Estonian chamber music and will be realised in cooperation of the State Concert Institute Eesti Kontsert and Estonian Ministry of Culture within the celebration of the 90th anniversary of Estonian Republic.
