CD of Estonian wind music has been released in USA

Christopher Newport University Wind Ensemble has released a CD „Kuuvalgel. Wind Music of Estonia“. CD consists of following works: Eduard Tamm’s Merry Shrovetide in St. Petersburg and A Dream in the Train (arr. Peeter Saan), Peeter Vähi’s Between Heaven and Earth, Rein Rannap’s The Last Days of Winter, Eino Tamberg’s Symhonic Dances (Part I, arr. Peeter Saan), Priit Raik’s In the Moonlight and Rein Ploom’s Estonian Rhapsody (arr. Bert Langeler). CD’s booklet written by ensemble’s conductor Mark U. Reimer contains the history of Estonia, including its music, composers, and works for wind band. From February 27 to March 8, CNU Wind Ensemble was touring in three Baltic countries, giving concerts also on March 1 in Estonia Concert Hall and March 3 in Viljandi Traditional Music Centre.
