From September 25 to 29, the 14th Autumn Festival takes place at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. This year’s guests are new music ensemble Neophon (Germany), electronic musician Peter Zinovieff (UK), saxophone quartet Quasar (Canada) and electronic musician and composer Peter Schwalm (Germany). Traditionally, the concert of composition students of EAMT takes place, presenting music by Pille Kangur, Dana Kaufman, Markus Robam, Alisson Kruusmaa, Piret Pajusaar, Ekke Västrik, Marianna Liik and Indrek Palu. Festival will end with the concert of Ensemble U:. In addition to concerts, also workshops, lectures and meetings are in the program. The entrance to the concerts is free.
The first Autumn Festival celebrated the opening of the new building of EAMT, for today it has become high-level contemporary music festival with the participation of musicians both from Estonia and abroad. Concerts will take place in EAMT Chamber Hall, Organ Hall and Estonian Public Broadcast’s I studio.
