Arvo Pärt’s music in Tallinn and Italy

On April 28, an evening with Arvo Pärt’s music will start at 7 p.m in Tallinn St. Nicholas Church. Concert programme of Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra include „Orient & Occident“, „L’abbé Agathon” (soloist Patricia Rozario), „Ein Wallfahrtslied”, „Da pacem Domine”, „Mein Weg” and „Te Deum”. The conductor is Tõnu Kaljuste.

Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra with Tõnu Kaljuste conducting will present the same programme in Italy – on May 19 in Bergamo and on May 20 in Brescia, where the festival dedicated to Arvo Pärt takes place from April 14 to June 12, within the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli International Pianists’ Competition. On April 22 and 23 Tõnu Kaljuste already conducted the festival concert with music by Arvo Pärt and Beethoven (Bologna Teatro Comunale Chorus and Orchestra performed „Credo” and „Festina lente” by Arvo Pärt), on May 6 and 7 the choir “Reale Corte Armonica Caterina Cornaro” (conductor Roberto Zarpellon) will perform Pärt’s „Magnificat”, on June 4 and 5 pianist Alexei Lubimov and Camerata Salzburg with Pier Carlo Orizio conducting will perform „Lamentate”.
