On March 8, Bilkent Symphony Orchestra with Anu Tali conducting will perform „Sung into the wind” by Tõnu Kõrvits. The work was commissioned and premiered by the Nordic Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Anu Tali in Tartu and Tallinn in January 2007. In September, Tali conducted the piece in Frankfurt with hr-Sinfonieorchester. „Sung into the wind” was inspired by the wind as a natural organ and its rich palette of sounds. In addition to Kõrvits’s work, concert in Ankara Bilkent Concert Hall will also present Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1 (soloist Ayşe Gülüm Sürmen) and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9.
