From June 27 to July 7, churches of Raplamaa county will host bulk of the musicians from Estonia and abroad. Festival brings together the music, Estonian beautiful churches and bright summer nights. The organiser of the festival is Pille Lill Music Fund.
Nine concerts in Rapla Culture Centre and churches in Rapla, Juuru, Vahastu, Käru and Velise present varied programme of sacred music. At the Festival Gala on June 30 at 9 pm in Rapla church, Eivør from Faroe Islands together with Villu Veski (saxophone), Mikael Blak (bass, keyboards) and Festival Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Lauri Sirp will appear on the stage with Eivør’s mystical songs and nordic orchestral music. Chamber choir Head Ööd, Vend will celebrate its 5th birthday on July 4 at 7 pm in Rapla Church, singing also music by Arvo Pärt, Pärt Uusberg, Ester Mägi, Mart Saar and Cyrillus Kreek. On June 7 at 7 pm, Tõnis Mägi will give the recital in Rapla church. Pärt’s music can be listened also on June 27 at 7 pm in Juuru church at the concert of saxophone quartet SaxEst, trumpetist Indrek Vau and organist Kristel Aer, and on June 28 at 9 pm in Velise Church at the concert of vocal ensemble Vox Clamantis.
