ORCHESTRAL WORK BY TOIVO TULEV WILL BE PREMIERED

On May 22 and 24, Toivo Tulev’s „Future Continuous” for symphony orchestra will be premiered by Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (ENSO) under the conducting of Olari Elts in Pärnu and Stockholm. New work is a musical gift to Sweden on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Estonian Republic.

In addition, the programme includes Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Symphony No. 5 for electric guitar, bigband and orchestra and Igor Stravinski’s Symphony in Three Movements. Mattias Torell (electric guitar, Sweden) and Estonian Dream Big Band will perform together with ENSO. Concert will take place on May at 7 pm. in Pärnu Concert Hall and May 24 at 6 pm. in Stocholm Berwaldhallen. Concerts are organised by ENSO.

Musical gifts dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Estonian Republic are realized with the support of cultural ministry and ministry of foreign affairs. The present concert is fourth of five gifts that Estonian Republic gives to European states that had a special role in the way of independence of Estonia.
