Anu Tali conducts in Germany

On January 28 and 29 at 7.30 pm, Anu Tali conducts Magdeburg Philharmonics in Magdeburg Opera House. The concert program consists of Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Symphony No. 6 Strata, which is dedicated to Anu Tali and Nordic Symphony Orchestra. Also Jean Sibelius’s Scènes historique I, Op. 25 and Maurice Ravel Boléro will be performed.

Anu Tali is also conducting opera Carmen by Georges Bizet in Magdeburg Opera Theatre. The opera was premiered on January 23, next performances of Carmen will take place on January 30, February 3, 7, 20, March 6 and April 2.

Anu Tali (1972) has studied conducting with Jorma Panula (Finland) and Ilya Musin (Russia). In 1997, she an her sister Kadri Tali founded Estonian-Finnish Symphony Orchestra, currently – Nordic Symphony Orchestra, which CD „Swan Flight“ (2002, Finlandia/Warner Classics) earned the German Echo Classic Prize 2003 within the category Young Artist of the Year. In 2004, Anu Tali was given the Presidential Award of Estonia. In 2006, Tali was chosen as the Musician of the Year by Estonian Radio.
