Roland Viilukas

December 29, 1988

Roland Viilukas has graduated from Heino Eller Tartu Music School in choral conducting with Lauri Breede, additionally studying composition under Alo Põldmäe. He has obtained Bachelor’s degree in choral conducting in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in the class of Prof. Tõnu Kaljuste (2016) and continues his studies in the Master’s programme. He has improved his skills in orchestra conducting with Prof. Jüri Alperten.

Roland Viilukas has cooperated with several collectives, including Male Choir Gaudeamus of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, Mixed Choir and Symphony Orchestra of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and Chamber Choir Collegium Musicale. Currently he is a conductor of Male Choir Rotalia (since 2015) and Virumaa Youth Male Choir (since 2016). From 2016, Viilukas is a singer of the Estonian National Male Choir.
