Premiere of Erkki-Sven Tüür’s „L’ombra della croce“

On February 15 at 7 pm, concert Shadow of Gesualdo will take place in Tallinn Methodist Church. The axis of the concert is music of Carlo Gesualdo da Venosa (1560–1613). In addition to Gesualdo’s madrigals and sacred songs, also Carlo by Australian composer Brett Dean and commissioned work L’ombra della croce by Erkki-Sven Tüür can be listened. Program will end with Tüür’s Psalmody.

The performers are Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra under the direction of recent Grammy-winner Tõnu Kaljuste. At a later time, the same program will be recorded by ECM. Concert is part of the festival Perfect Silence organised by Tallinn Philharmonic Society.
