Opening concert of the season of Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir

Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir will perform a cappella program of Rudolf Tobias’s (1873–1918) and Max Reger’s (1873–1916) sacred choral music at the opening concert of their 31st season. From amongst Tobias’s works the concert presents famous choral songs “Eks teie tea” (“Wisset Ihr Nicht”) and “Otsekui hirv” (“Gleichwie der Hirsch) and motets like “Kleine Karfreitagsmotette”, “Oster Vorspiel”, “Ostermorgen”, “Ascendit in coelum”, “Vivit! ” and “Liberi Dei”. Organ works will be performed by Ene Salumäe, conductor is Daniel Reuss.

Concerts will take place on September 27 at 6 pm in Haapsalu Dome Church, September 28 at 6 pm in Rakvere Church and September 29 at 7 pm in Tallinn St. Nicholas’s Church. The entrance to concerts in Haapsalu and Rakvere is free, concert in Tallinn will reach via Klassikaraadio and Euroradio to many radio stations in Europe.
