Gunnar Pedraudse

Gunnar (Gunnar-Sigurd) Pedraudse studied music theory in Tartu Music School (1948–1950), choral conducting and music theory in Tomsk Music School (1952–1955) and graduated from the Tallinn State Conservatoire in composition as a astudent of Villem Kapp (1960).

Pedarudse was long-time sound engineer in Estonian Television (1960–1986). As a talented improviser and keyboard player he was also active as a pianist in dance music ensembles and orchestras including Emil Laansoo Orchestra (1958–1964) and bigband Mickeys. He was piano accompanist and directed amateur activities’ groups as well.

The main part of Gunnar Pedraudse’s work is incidental music for TV-plays, theatre performances and documentaries. He has written also popular and children’s songs, orchestral and chamber music.
