Galina Grigorjeva’s "Salve Regina" to be premiered

The first performances of Galina Grigorjeva’s new work „Salve Regina“ will take place on April 9 in Copenhagen and on April 19 in Tallinn. New piece is the joint commission of vocal ensemble Theatre of Voices (Denmark) and Yxus Ensemble (Estonia). Concert entitled as Arvo Pärt – Creator Spiritus includes also three pieces by Arvo Pärt: Da Pacem, Es sang vor langen Jahren and Stabat Mater and music by Guillaume de Machaut, Gavin Bryars, Gustav Holst and Hildegard von Bingen. Conductor is Paul Hillier.

Theatre of Voices: Else Torp (soprano), Iris Oja (alto), Chris Watson (tenor), Jakob Bloch Jespersen (bass).
Yxus Ensemble: Harry Traksmann (violin), Mari Targo (violin), Torsten Tiebout (viola) and Leho Karin (cello).

Concerts will take place on April 9 at 7.30 pm in Garnisons Kirke, Copenhagen and April 19 at 7 pm in Tallinn St. Nicholas’s Church.
