ESTONIAN MUSIC DAYS 2010

 

The annual festival of Estonian Music Days will take place in Tallinn from March 22 to 27. This year's slightly retrospective festival does not focus only on new works by Estonian composers, but also a number of their previous works will be performed. The festival presents author’s concerts of 11 composers –

. To highlight festival’s cooperation with other arts, next to music composers’ concerts, an evening will be dedicated to video artist Mark Raidpere’s creation.

 

On March 22 and 23, the lectures on topics of music criticism will be held. Both, music critics and musicians will share their thoughts.

 

At the same time with the Estonian Music Days festival, another international Estonian music introducing event –

Tallinn Music Week

will take place. On March 27, a series of classical contemporary music showcase-concerts will be held in this occasion.

 

Estonian Music Days have been organized by the Estonian Composers' Union and the festival is held already since 1979.
