Duo Telluur

Duo Telluur, formed in 2015, is a duo of versatile classical guitar and singing woodwind English horn, a setup extremely rare in the music world.

The young Estonian musicians have been inspired by the harmony of the mild timbres of their instruments and embarked on a journey with no set repertoire to explore the possibilities of playing their favorites written for other ensembles, as well as giving creative impulses for new compositions.

The name of Duo Telluur comes from the chemical element Tellurium which is silver, rare and delicate just as the unique acoustic sound of the ensemble.

In 2020, Belgian-based international record label Etcetera Records released the debut album Evening Mosaic of the ensemble, consisting of music by Estonian composers René Eespere, Lauri Jõeleht, Mingo Rajandi, Ülo Vinter, and Eugen Linde and Cuban-American composer José Lezcano, but also the arrangements of works by Béla Bartók, Modest Mussorgsky, Gustav Holst, Enrique Granado.

Members of the ensemble are Heli Ernits (English horn) and Kirill Ogorodnikov (guitar).
