Siret Lust

b. February 10, 1990

Siret Lust is a London-based double bassist born in Tallinn, Estonia. She received her early musical training at the Tallinn Music High School with Kaupo Olt. After earning her bachelor’s degree (2013) and master’s degree (2015) at the Guildhall School Of Music and Drama under the tutelage of Rinat Ibragimov and Luis Cabrera, Siret Lust was awarded the Guildhall Artist Fellowship for the following year.

Siret Lust performs regularly with orchestras such as the Philharmonia Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony and Concert Orchestras, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, Le Concert Olympique, Estonian Festival Orchestra, and others. While studying, she was part of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and the European Union Youth Orchestra. Siret Lust has appeared as a soloist with the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Pärnu City Orchestra, the Haapsalu Festival Orchestra, and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra.

As a keen chamber musicians, she is working regularly with numerous chamber groups, such as Camerata Tchaikovsky, Jigsaw Players, Marryat Players, Camerata Alma Viva and numerous other ensembles. She has participated in chamber-music festivals in the UK and abroad.

Siret Lust currently plays a double bass made by Luigi Ferrarotti in Turin, Italy ca 1930.
