The 7th National Competition of Young Choral Conductors takes place from October 16 to 19 in Tallinn. The competition amis to discover and foster young talented choir conductors. The participants will work with a mixed choir of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Estonian National Male Choir, and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir. The winners will be decided after three rounds in the final concert at the Concert Hall of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
The 2019 jury of the young choral conductors' competition comprises Anders Eby (Sweden), Seppo Murto (Finland), Anu Tali (Estonia), Indrek Vijard (Estonia), and Mikk Üleoja (Estonia).

The competition is organised by the Estonian Choral Association, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, and the Estonian National Male Choir. This year's competition marks the 100th anniversary of the EAMT and 75th anniversary of Estonian National Male Choir.
