Festival Baltic States in Konzerthaus Berlin



On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, festival of Baltic music will take place in Konzerthaus Berlin from February 16 to 25.

Festival starts with the concert of Arvo Pärt’s music performed by Konzerthausorchester, Rundfunkchor Berlin, Jeanine De Bique (soprano) and Sayako Kusaka (violin) under the baton of Iván Fischer.

On February 20, Rudolf Tobias’s major choral symphonic work „Jonah’s Mission” will be performed by the Latvian State Choir „Latvija” and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra under Neeme Järvi.

On February 22, 23 and 24, conductor Kristjan Järvi presents his concert „Nordic Pulse!” where the performance of the Konzerthausorchester merges with projections, light and sound installations. Program includes music by Erkki-Sven Tüür, Peeter Vähi, Arvo Pärt, Eduard Tubin, Kristjan Järvi and others.

Estonian National Opera Boys’ Choir gives two concerts on February 25, taking the audience on a musical excursion through the songs of its homeland.
